Video: Why Is Animal Crossing So Much Fun?

Animal Crossing is one of those series that has become something of an obsession with many gamers.

Since it made its debut on the N64 back in 2001, the franchise has spanned multiple Nintendo systems and sucked away countless hours from millions of players all over the globe – but when you have to explain to a layperson what makes Animal Crossing so incredibly appealing, it’s often hard to articulate.

Nintendo Life’s video team – Alex, Zion and Felix – sat down recently to discuss precisely what makes Animal Crossing so compelling; is it the chilled-out atmosphere? The sheer depth of content? Or just the fact that finding oneself in constant debt to Tom Nook is surprisingly addictive?

Have a watch of the video above and let us know why you think the series is so darn brilliant by posting a comment below.
