UK Charts: Kirby And The Forgotten Land Gobbles Up The Top Spot

The latest UK charts are in and after a wave of positive reviews, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has landed the top spot, comfortably beating out the multi-platform release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Kirby’s performance makes it the biggest launch in the franchise, selling 2.5x the number of copies as 2018’s Kirby Star Allies, which was the previous record holder. It’s also now the fifth biggest Kirby game in the UK, coming in just behind Kirby’s Adventure Wii (Kirby’s Return to Dream Land in the US).

Elsewhere, it’s looking like business as usual for the UK charts, but Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has made a surprising comeback, jumping up 10 spaces from the previous week to land in at number 7.

On the flip side, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has expectedly made a return to the top 10, though only just. Wave 1 of the Booster Course Pass has clearly given the game a slight boost, though whether it manages to maintain its position remains to be seen.

Finally, Pokémon Legends: Arceus hold strong, dropping down only 1 position from the previous week. It’ll be interesting to see how long the game manages to remain in the top 10 ahead of the launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
