We’re big fans of developer Diactro, which has served up two small but delightfully entertaining titles on Switch – Toree 3D and Toree 2. They’ve now unveiled their latest title as part of our Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight – Super Kiwi 64.
As the name suggests, this adopts some of the style and ideas made famous in Super Mario 64, though of course with its own twists and ideas as you go on a collect-a-thon. The developer’s description and what you can expect is below.
Super Kiwi 64 is a 3D-Platformer and Collect-a-Thon, in a low poly late 90s console look.
– Low poly late 90s retro looks.
– Kiwi can jump, glide, corkscrew-attack and stick to walls in order to jump up almost every wall.
– The levels can be played in any order, and not every level needs to be finished in order to collect enough to reach the ending.
– Features a bird with a long beak!
We’re looking forward to giving this a whirl – it’s targeting a Switch release later this year.
