We’ve all been there; while our parents are busy with work to put food on the table, as children we were often left to fend for ourselves. We’d wager most readers here will have opted for a bit of gaming to pass the time, and if so then you’re in some fine company; the sons of ex-Beatle George Harrison and folk singer Bob Dylan did exactly the same thing while their fathers were busy making music.
As reported by Rolling Stone (via Showbiz CheatSheet), Dhani Harrison and Jakob Dylan loved playing a bit of Duck Hunt on the NES while their fathers were working on a little album called ‘Traveling Wilburys Vol.3’ in the room downstairs.
The album was the second from so-called ‘ultimate supergroup’ Traveling Wilburys, which consisted of music icons George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison. Now, we love Duck Hunt, but can you imagine opting to sit out of watching such legends create music together? Perhaps even Dhani and Jakob got a bit embarrassed of their parents’ shenanigans from time to time!
