Xbox owners with a Game Pass subscription will be able to play MLB: The Show 22 at launch for no extra cost. (The same was true with last year’s installment). If you’re interested, you can grab a Game Pass Ultimate subscription above.

What’s New in MLB: The Show 22?

This year’s installment has most of the same modes as previous years. The Diamond Dynasty has a new Mini Seasons mode, “where each season brings new challenges.” You can play cross-platform multiplayer, and your progress carries over if you have the game on multiple consoles. Newcomers to the series can now start at lower difficulty, thanks to the addition of two new difficulty settings.

And if you buy it on PS5 or Xbox Series X, you’ll get a new, streamlined Stadium Creator interface, plus the ability to play night games in your stadium. These versions also target 60fps and offer dynamic 4K resolution.
