The Pokémon franchise has seen its fair share of merchandise across the years. From trading cards to cuddly toys and even themed cars, there’s something for every fan to enjoy.
Over in Japan, footwear company Converse is launching a new collaboration with Pokémon, launching ranges for both children and adults. The children’s range is out now, with the latter set releasing at a later date.
Starting with the children’s range, we’ve got colourful high-top All-Star sneakers with a velcro fastening system, all based on cute Pokémon with bold profiles and themed colour palette. The range includes Pikachu (of course), Piplup, Eevee, and Mew. Also for children is the low-top neon range, which consists of black or white trainers with a distinctive PIkachu design adorned on the side. Better yet, they glow in the dark!
Moving onto the adult range, we’ve got a much more restrained design, with subtle colours and a more ‘classy’ nod toward the Pokémon characters themselves. Here, we’ve got Pikachu (of course!), Eevee, Charizard, and Mewtwo. Each shoe contains the name of the Pokémon along with its height and weight, plus a lovely pixelated Pokédex image alongside the All-Stars logo on the tongue.
Sadly, the range doesn’t look like it’s due to make its way over to the west, but that shouldn’t stop you from importing a pair if you really want some.
Let us know in the comments if you’re a fan of the new Pokémon range from Converse. We definitely are!
